HassanElmalik, originally from Omdurman where the Blue and White Nile meet, hasdeveloped his own style on the oud, blending Sudanese and Ethiopian rhythmswith reggae and blues. He has performed with leading Sudanese musicians, touredinternationally, and served as head of music at Khartoum FM.
