Working hours: Part-time (20 hours/week)
Berlin Mondiale is seeking a committed person to join its communications team starting on 1 July 2026.We are looking for someone who brings strong organizational and communication skills, as well as enthusiasm for collaborative, discrimination-sensitive cultural work and urban cultural development.
Berlin Mondiale is a network for cultural education and artistic collaboration across Berlin’s districts. Its goal is to foster sustainable partnerships between cultural institutions, local arts and cultural organizations, cultural education practitioners, and partners from civil society and local communities. Berlin Mondiale works in a power-critical, discrimination-sensitive, and process-oriented way and sees itself as a learning organization.
The advertised position combines internal and external communications. It serves as a link between projects, partners, and the communications team, helping to make experiences, perspectives, and developments from different areas of work visible and connected.
We are looking for a person who combines strong organizational skills with a genuine interest in content and communication, and who enjoys both communication-related tasks and the on going development of processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Research relevant topics, stories, and perspectives emerging from projects
- Conduct interviews and conversations with project partners, artists, and other participant
- Develop and prepare content for the website, newsletter, social media channels, publications, and other communication formats
- Contribute editorially to reports, documentation, and other communication activities
- Develop and implement storytelling, visibility, and organization-wide communication formats
- Create and design communication materials such as social media content, flyers, posters, presentations, and other digital and print formats
- Coordinate communication-related information and maintain and further develop editorial and communication plans
- Contribute to the improvement of communication processes, working structures, and cross-organizational exchange processes
- Maintain and strengthen relationships with project partners, communities, and networks
- Identify shared themes, opportunities, and synergies across project

Your Profile
- Relevant vocational qualification or comparable qualification, as well as professional experience in communications, social media editorial work, journalism, or related fields
- Experience in creating, editing, and preparing content for different communication channels
- Excellent writing skills, with the ability to communicate topics, perspectives, and stories effectively for different audiences
- Basic knowledge of design and visual communication; experience with Canva and Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Illustrator and Photoshop, is an advantage
- Excellent written and spoken German; good English skills and additional language skillsare an asset
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently and in a structured manner
- Excellent communication skills, ability to work in a team, and a strong sense ofresponsibility
- Sensitivity to diversity, social inequality, and discrimination-critical approaches in project work
Position Details
- Part-time position (20 hours per week)Initially fixed-term until December 31, 2026, with a planned extension until December 31, 2027 subject to funding approval
- Salary in line with German public sector pay scale TV-L E11 (depending on qualifications and experience)
