Lutherplatz

Open Berlin e.V.
Lutherplatz 3
13585 Berlin

The initiative "Open Workshop Lutherplatz" was launched by the neighborhood management of Spandauer Neustadt with the goal of revitalizing Lutherplatz. The project began in the autumn of 2018 with a workshop where initial ideas for the square were collected from various social institutions and associations from the Neustadt area. In the spring of 2019, the bright blue shipping container, which serves as the centerpiece of the Open Workshop, was delivered. Since then, the container has been a hub of activity with people engaged in activities such as sawing, screwing, sanding, performing theater, singing, and celebrating around it.

In 2021, Berlin Mondiale established a partnership with the Open Workshop Lutherplatz to bring artistic programs to the square through the Urban Practice initiative. Although the partnership is currently on hold in 2022, interested parties can still reach out to the partners in Spandau with inquiries and project ideas at any time.
