Project announcement in Marzahn: Community Through Culture – Stronger Neighborhoods
Since October 2025, Berlin Mondiale has been implementing the model project
“Community through Culture – Strong Neighborhoods between Collective Accommodation and Large Housing Estates” in Marzahn-Nord.
The project will initially run until the end of the year and is being carried out in close collaboration with local partners, actors in cultural education, and institutions in Marzahn-Hellersdorf.
The focus is on empowering young refugees through cultural participation and creative co-creation.
Through cultural offerings and formats of cultural education, the project creates spaces for expression, encounter, and collaborative place-learning where trust can grow and new connections within the neighborhood can emerge.
The project “Community through Culture – Strong Neighborhoods between Collective Accommodation and Large Housing Estates” is funded by the Landeskommission Berlin gegen Gewalt within the framework of the “Fund to Support Victims of Politically Motivated Extremist Violence” (Support Fund). Since 2025, the fund has focused on model projects that create spaces for encounter and promote mutual understanding, helping to reduce stereotypes and prejudices and strengthen conflict prevention.
Young people, parents, and local partners are warmly invited to get involved or reach out for more information.
